A faster and more intuitive Contacts Table is available for you to try. As with the Transactions Table earlier this year, we’re providing access to a feature improvement, while the feature is still in development. Why? Because we want to shape the final product to align with user expectations… and we can only do that with your feedback! Let’s talk about it.
The Keela Contacts Table: Classic vs New
When you visit the Contacts Table in Keela, you’ll notice a banner at the top of the page with a slider. You can use the slider to turn the New version on and off. Here are the differences between the two versions:
Classic Table: This is the version you’ve always used. It has all the existing functionality, including exports and certain filters. Nothing is changing here, and you can continue using Classic as you always have.
New Table: This is where you’ll see the improvements we’re building which include faster load times for larger datasets, filters with new conditional logic, and a cleaner overall design. You will also gain access to a New Segments tab alongside your existing Segments tab. This is a dedicated space to create lists using the new, faster filtering logic.
⚠️Important Note: The New Table doesn’t have every feature yet. Export functionality and some filters won’t be available on this first version of the table.
You have the freedom to switch between Classic and New whenever you like. Use Classic when you need all the current functionality, and try the New version when you want speed and smarter filtering. With the New Table, we’ll be adding more filters, export functionality, and other improvements in phases over the next few weeks. The Classic version will remain available until the New version is fully complete.
The New Segments Tab
You can now build segments using our new filters, advanced conditional logic. To use these new filters in a Segment, simply save your list under the New Segments tab. Don’t worry, your existing segments aren't going anywhere. You will have access to both your "Classic" segments and your "New" segments simultaneously.
Any segment you create in the New Segments tab is immediately available for use in Email Marketing. When you edit your recipients list for a campaign, you will see a combined dropdown menu featuring both your Classic and New segments. Even if you toggle the New Table “off” to return to the Classic view, your New Segments remain saved in the database and accessible within your Email Marketing workflows.
Why a Phased Approach?
We know how central the Contacts Table is to your daily work. This is why we’re introducing improvements gradually instead of all at once. A phased rollout means:
- You get early access to improvements instead of waiting months for a full release
- We get your feedback along the way, so we can fine-tune the experience to better meet your needs.
- You’re always in control, with the toggle letting you move between Classic and New at any time.
As new features are added to the New Table, we’ll let you know right inside the app. Each update brings the New Table closer to becoming your all-in-one Transactions view, built with your input at the center.
This phased approach will be applied to other features in Keela over the coming months. You’ll be able to access these Beta experiences from a centralized Beta page in Keela. You can learn more about the Beta page here.
How to Share Feedback
As mentioned, your feedback will help us close the gaps and make the New Table ready to fully replace Classic. Be on the lookout for a feedback survey on the Contacts Table in Keela where you can rate the New experience and provide any feedback. Our product team will review any and all feedback received because developing this table with users in mind is our first priority!
