I really don't see how you're going to get it to work without the MX records. Those are fairly essential. Why would you not be able to receive replies to your corporate emails if you add those?

If the person has already received an official donation receipt, you legally can't issue them a new one unless the old one was cancelled. In the old days, you could have the person return the paper...
