Assign a donation to a pledge

Hi all,

I haven't been able to find an answer to this, so I'm hoping someone can help please.

We have a donor who has lodged a pledge, this was entered into Keela.  We have now had someone else make a donation online, in a different name, but who wants the donation to be lodged against the pledge.

When I try to assign the donation to the pledge, I type in the pledge name, but nothing comes up.  

I have also created a household, and added both people to it, but that didn't seem to help either.

Is this because the donor and pledger have been assigned different donor IDs, and you can only assign donations to pledges with the same ID?

  Thanks for sending over your question!

  You cannot assign a pledge to a transaction coming from a different donor. That is why you cannot link it to the pledge.

  Trying to assign a pledge payment to a pledge and not being able to is getting very frustrating in Keela.  Are we getting closer to fixing this issue. We have many pledges in our capital campaign and most donor make payment from something other than their personal account.  Many larger donors pay through their foundation or company. This means changing the pledge amount instead of assigning a payment toward a pledge.
