Setting up acknowledgements for new donors only

Has anyone set up receipts/acknowledgements for a new donor (only)? I want a separate acknowledgement letter sent to new donors that will be different from our regular letter.

  Hi Cristin, 

  It is not possible to have different acknowledgment letters for first-time donors vs regular donors! 

  You could customize the acknowledgment letters via Campaign/Impact Area but that would be the most customization that you can do for the acknowledgment letters right now! 

  You can definitely add this as an idea to our Product Portal.

  This article talks about automations with sending first-time donors a welcome email. It doesn't look like it can work with prompts to send a letter at this stage but perhaps this could be useful if the donor has an email address.
