It's no secret that Keela's Smart Ask tool has varied and powerful applications in your day-to-day fundraising. Whether you use these intelligent calculations to bolster your in person fundraising, or take advantage of Keela's Smart Ask Donation Form, the possibilities are endless.
But did you know that you can also use Keela's Smart Ask Donation Forms within the marketing reach outs that you create with other email providers?
How does it work?
Picture this. You're Marketing Coordinator has built a series of emails for their upcoming fundraising campaign. Each email is emblazoned with a clear and pronounced Call to Action button that encourages the viewer to Donate to your organization. By connecting this button to a specific URL (complete with a self-populating smartcode), your Coordinator can connect each MailChimp email with the historic data in your Keela account - and pre-populate each potential donors form with appropriate donation amount suggestions.
The special URL and smart code within it can connect several email providers to Keela.
As you can imagine, each email provider has its own unique way of facilitating their call to action buttons. While using Keela's Email Marketing tool is certainly the easiest way to share a Smart Ask form, we've outlined how each eligible provider allows this below.
Constant Contact
In Constant Contact, you can use their dynamic links feature to connect to Smart Ask forms. You can find instructions and information on how to insert and manage these links here.
When inserting the dynamic link, you'll need to use the (1) URL Link to your Keela Donation Form and Contact Contact's (2) Smart Code for an email address.
Here's a example of how it looks for one of our test Keela Donation Forms.
Note: You'll need to replace the (1) URL Link with your own Keela link.

Here's how it will look in Constant Contact:
MailChimp
In MailChimp, you can simply add a Button Content Block to your email and choose the Web Address option in the Link to dropdown field.
Then, enter your URL Link to your Keela Donation Form and MailChimp's Smart Code for an email address.
Note: You'll need to replace the URL Link with your own Keela link.

Follow their steps in the "How to add a PURL to your campaign" section here and then link your button to the below URL;
Note: You'll need to replace the URL Link with your own Keela link.

Don't see your email provider here?
There are oodles of email providers out there - it's quite possible that yours has the same functionality as the ones listed above. Reach out to them to see how you can connect a donation button in your email to a personalized, dynamic, or smart link. It should be a way to populate the button URL with an email address smart code that allows the link to change based on who is viewing the email.
Let us know if you find one - we'd love to add them here!
Need help with the above instructions?
While we're certainly experts on al things Keela, we're definitely not the best folks to answer questions relating to external email providers. We recommend reaching out to your own email provider for help with the above elements as they'll know the system back to front.
