Once you've created your workflow, you can customize it by adding a starting point and multiple stages.
In this article, we'll look at an example of how you can create different Lifetime Donor levels at you reorganization and personally celebrate them all with each Contact!
Scenario: We have different levels of lifetime donations that our Contacts can reach with our organization. These include Bronze ($500), Silver, ($1000), Gold ($2000) and Platinum ($5000). We want to automatically celebrate each of these milestones with our Contacts without having to create manual calculations or emails. I want to create a Workflow for thanking Bronze Donors first.
Choose a Starting Point
Click Choose a Starting Point
Click Contacts > Click Add beside Contact Joins Segment
Customize your Entry Points by letting Keela know exactly what Filters your Contacts will need to match to be entered > Choose the Total Amount of Gift - Summation Filter (Donation Transaction Filters > Choose the Is Between filter logic > Enter 500 > Click Save
Action Stage: Send Email - You a Bronze Pupper Project Hero!
Click Add a Stage
Click Actions > Click Add beside Send Email
Customize your Email > Click on your Workflow link at the top to return to your Workflow when you're done
Tip: This Email should let the donor know that they've achieved Bronze status at your organization. Perhaps you can give them a badge they can post to social media or outline exactly what their $500 may have contributed towards at your organization.
Hint: The email tool in Workflows works in the exact same way as Keela's Email Marketing tool does. Check out this article for more details!
Action Stage: Add Fields - Tag & Priority
Click on the Plus (+) sign beneath the You are a bronze Pupper Project Hero Send Email Stage
Click Actions > Click Add beside Add Fields
Specify which fields Keela should update > Click Save
Tip: You can change the Priority (High, Medium, Low), the Assignee (perhaps you have a specific team member who works with major donors), Tags (Bronze Donor, Major Donor) and Notes.
You can create multiple workflows for each donor level or choose to have one major donor lifetime awards - whatever works best for your organization!
