This is a tough one! When a Contact passes away, often they can have records linked to them like donations or volunteer hours - and this might be something that your Organization would like to keep track of for your reporting, right?
But you definitely want to make sure that no communications are sent and that everyone in your team is aware and is respectful.
We have a few recommendations for organizations when they have a contact that is deceased that may help here:
- Update the Contact's Subscription Status to ensure that they won't receive any emails from your account. We recommend setting their Email Subscription status to 'Opted out'. Once you do this, they will no longer receive any emails.
