Do you have a program or course that you need to collect registrations for? The good news is, you can use Keela's tools to set-up a registration form, collect contact and registration information, collect payments, and keep track of those who register. Outlined below are some steps, tips, and tricks for setting up your registration form.
(1) Create Your Form
Which Form should I use?
- Custom Form - best if you do not need to process payments.
- Revenue Form - best if the registration requires non-tax-deductible payments.
- Donation Form - best if the registration requires a donation payment.
(2) Collect Registration Information
You can add custom questions to your Form to start collecting the information you need from your students or program participants. You can even link these questions to a custom field if you want registration information to be entered into the student's profile automatically when they fill out the form.
(3) Auto Tag Your Registrants
We reccomend using the auto-tag feature on your Form so you can automatically tag contacts as they fill out the Form. For example, you could tag them with something related to your program like 'Application Workshop Registrations'. You can turn this setting on under the forms settings tab.
(4) Tracking Registrants in Keela
Now, when a student fills out a form & answers the registration questions, they will be automatically added as a contact in your account, their information will be logged under their contact profile, and they will be automatically tagged. If they made a payment, this payment will also be automatically logged in Keela.
I would reccomend creating a Segment and using Filters to filter out all of the contacts who belong to the tag that you chose for auto-tagging. This way you have a Segmented list of contacts that will automatically add new registrants as they fill out the form.
Tip: You can also send Email Marketing to your registrants with information about your program using this Segment.
(5) Reporting on Registrants Payments
If you decide to use a donation or revenue form to collect registration payments, we recommend adding an Impact Area or a Campaign to your form. This way, you can head to the Reports tool to Filter transactions associated with that Impact Area or Campaign. This will make it really easy to view the total amount of payments made towards registration and how many contacts signed up!
(6) Exporting Registrants
Last but not least, you can also export your registrants and their information by heading to the Responses Tab and exporting your Form responses.
