Your organization may collect donations in a variety of ways, which can make the tracking of your transactions quite the task!
In this article, we'll be going through the different statuses that will appear on your transaction and what they mean for you!
Unknown
Keela does not know if the transaction has been paid.
This status will automatically be applied to the following transactions:
- Manually logged transactions that had not been indicated as paid prior to our transaction status release.
Pending
Due to some externalities with ACH payments (via KeelaPay) and Recurring Transactions, there may be a delay in the transaction being accepted and paid. Keela will monitor this status over a 10-day period to see if the transaction is returned (failed). After this 10-day period, Keela will update the transaction status to ‘paid’ and at that time issue the thank you and receipt.
Paid
The transaction has been noted that has been paid. This generally comes from transactions that have been paid via a Keela form.
Failed
The payment for the transaction has failed. This can be returned for Scheduled Recurring transactions or ACH payments.
Cancelled
The transaction has been cancelled.
Refunded
The payment has been refunded by KeelaPay.
*Please note that the Refunded status will only be applicable for transactions that have been paid via KeelaPay. Keela will automatically cancel the receipt for any refunded transaction via KeelaPay.
