The Filters button can be found scattered around your Keela account. It can be seen whenever you're viewing a list of data and is used to narrow down that data (Contacts Tool, Fundraising Tool and Reports Tool).
There are multiple places in Keela that you can filter from. If you're ever unsure about which places to start from, think about what kind of data you need at the end and work backwards from there.

Contact Data
Contact Data refers to the Contact Profiles that you have stored in your Keela account. This data includes all of the personal or contact information that is stored on your Contact Profiles.
Choose this option if you're looking for a list of contacts, based on the personal information (but NOT financial information) of your:
- Contacts
- Members
- Companies
- Volunteers
- Donors
- Employees
Examples of Contact Data:
- Tags
- Phone Numbers
- Email Addresses
- Home Address details for a Mail Merge
- Custom Fields
- Membership Subscription
- Membership Start Date
- Membership End Date

Donation or Revenue Data
Donation or Revenue Data refers to the Transactions that you have stored in your Keela account. This data includes the donation gifts or revenue payments that you've received from your Contacts and can be found in the Fundraising section of Keela.
Choose this option if you're looking for financial information (but NOT personal information) of your Contacts.
Examples of Donation or Revenue Data:
- Total Amount
- Date of Gift
- Campaign
- Impact Area
- Donor's Full Name
- Donor's Address

Volunteer Activities
Volunteer Activities refer to the actual volunteer records that you've stored in your Keela account. This data includes the dates and hours that you've logged on your Contact Profiles.
Choose this option if you're looking for the actual volunteer information, such as a list of volunteer activities, (but NOT personal information) of your Contacts.
Examples of Volunteer Data:
- Volunteer Full Name
- Hours
- Start Date
- End Date
- Campaign
- Impact Area

Membership Data
You can filter your Contact Data with Membership Filters! Choose this option of you're looking for a list of individuals or companies who based on their Membership Subscriptions (but NOT actual Membership Plans within your Keela account).
Examples of Membership Filters that you can use on Contact Data:
- Contact's Full Name
- Membership Start Date
- Membership End Date
- Membership Subscription Plan
- Email Address
- Tag
- Membership Status
Email Marketing Mailing List
You can Filter your Contact Data in the Segments Tool to create a list of folks that you can send Email marketing to. Choose this option if you'd like to send a Email Marketing to your Contacts (but NOT for something else like exporting or downloading your data).
Examples of Filters that you can use to create Segments:
- Tags
- Primary Email Address
- Donation Data
- Revenue Data
- Volunteer Activities
