How do I change the content of my receipts?

Where can I find a contact's receipt preferences?
You will only be able to view and edit the receipt preferences for recurring transactions. You can find the receipt preferences for a contact by clicking on one of their recurring transaction and scrolling to the 'Receipt Settings' field.
Please note: Updating the receipt preferences for a Contact's recurring payments will affect all future payments.
Can a contact opt-in to Cumulative receipting?
Yep! If you have a recurring option on your form, you can choose to toggle on Cumulative Receipting! This will give contacts the option to select cumulative receipting when they make a recurring donation.
How do I change a contact's receipt preferences?
You can change the receipt preferences by going to a contact's recurring transaction record > click 'Edit' in the top right-hand corner of the details page. You will then see an option to change the receipt preferences.
Please note: Updating the receipt preferences for a Contact's recurring payments will affect all future payments. Keep in mind, while you can adjust the Receipt Settings at any time, it is not possible to edit the "Send Receipt Emails" setting retroactively. In order to ensure the receipt is sent, the "Send Receipt Email" must be set to "Yes" upon the creation of the transaction.
How can I tell if the donor received a donation receipt email?
Anytime someone fills out a Donation, Revenue, or Membership form, a thank you letter and receipt are sent out automatically. For example, when someone signs up for a donation through a Keela donation form, the donor will receive a thank you email with a receipt attached. They will also receive this if you chose to send the donor an email and receipt when manually log a donation. Here is an example of what the donor sees:
If you want to confirm a receipt was generated, you can go to the donor's donation transaction details where you will see a purple receipt number in the receipt field.
If you want to confirm a receipt was sent out you can head to your contact's interactions tab to make sure the email was sent out! It will look something like this.
Where do Replies to Receipts go?
When a contact replies to a Receipt, Keela will notify the user on the account who is the 'Assignee' of the contact that sent the reply. These notifications will appear in your Keela account by default - if you'd like to receive an email for notifications like this be sure to turn on email notifications in your Personal Settings. The reply will also be available to view and reply to under the contact's Interactions.
Please note: if there is no assignee for the contact, none of the users will be notified, the reply will then only be found under the contact's interactions. Be sure to keep the Assignees updated!
