Now that you've learned all about how to create a report, you mind find yourself looking for some inspiration!
We've put together a bunch of commonly requested Filters for you to start creating some Reports of your own.
What kind of Data do you want to look at?
When it comes to choosing Filters and creating Reports, it's important to consider what kind of data you would like to end up with at the end.
Example: I would like a list of Donors who contribute to my organization on a regular basis. At first, I thought that perhaps I would need to create a Donation Transactions Report. However, when I think about the type of Data that I would like to end up with, a list of Donors, I realize that it's actually Contacts that I'm wanting to Filter (using donation filters) and not Donation Transactions.
I want a list of people and/or companies
If you're wanting a list of people at the end of your filtering, then Contact Data is the way to go for you.
I want a list of donation and/or revenue transactions
If you're wanting a list of donations and/or revenue transactions, then Donation or Revenue Data is the way to go for you.
I want a list of volunteer activities (hours/dates)
If you're wanting a list of volunteer records (ie. 3 hours on the 1st of October), then Volunteer Activities is the way to go for you.
I'm not sure what I want - I'm just here to have fun!
