If you're familiar with how to create a new Contact in Keela, you'll know that Priority and Assignee are two fields that can be used to manage your Contacts. In this article, look at how you can update these fields in bulk!
What is an Assignee?
The Assignee of a Contact is the team member who is responsible for managing this Contact. This is also the User who will receive replies to any automated Keela emails (ex. Tax Receipts, Membership Confirmations, etc).
What is a Priority?
A contact priority level between zero to three stars, with three stars indicating highest priority and zero stars, lowest priority.
The Assignee & Priority of a Contact can be viewed in the Admin or Highlights panel of a Contact's Profile:
How to Bulk update Priority & Assignee
This can be done from the Contacts section of Keela using the multi-select tick boxes.
Navigate to your Contacts > Use the multi-select tick boxes to select those Contacts that you would like to update the Priority of > Click Actions > Click Add Priority
Hint: You can also click on the drop-down arrow to Select This Page (all displayed Contacts) or Select All Pages (all Contacts across all pages) to choose multiple Contacts at a time.
And eureka, you've updated the Priority or Assignee of your Contacts!
FAQ
Why should I add an Assignee to all of my contacts?
It is important to add an Assignee to each contact to ensure that no email gets left behind! If a contact does not have an Assignee and they reply to an automated email (ex. Receipts, Membership Renewals, etc.), though the email will live in the contact's interactions, no Keela user will be notified. If an Assignee is present on this contact profile, the Assignee will receive this email reply in their inbox.
