Heading to your former CRMs support page is the best way to make sure their outlined export process is up-to-date. We've linked the support articles for some of the third-party systems below:
If you don’t see your current system listed here, or the guides do not provide sufficient information specific to the data sets you would like to export, you may need to contact your current system provider for further instructions on exporting your data.
Tips: when exporting your information from a third-party system into Keela
While it might be instinctual to bring all of your data into Keela, it's also important to also be thoughtful and realistic about the data you’re importing.
It’s easy to assume that importing everything from your old system is the safest route to take, but take a moment to ask yourself these few questions:
- Have I used this information in the last 6 months? 12 months?
- Is this contact data up-to-date?
- Are these contacts used for mailings? When's the last time they've been contacted?
These 'inactive' contacts can always have their information stored on an Excel sheet as a last resort, but it may not be necessary to crowd your new system with their data. Coming into Keela with a clean database will be crucial for a smooth transition.
