We know that you sometimes might need to use your data in Keela elsewhere, so we've made exporting your data really simple!
Export Contacts
With the Export tool, you can export all contacts, a custom group of contact, or a single contact profile.
Export all Contacts
(1) Click on Contacts in the sidebar > click on the Export icon (the little cloud button)
(2) Next, we'll ask you to confirm a few details about how you would like your data exported:
- Export Template - You can select a pre-built template from your Personal Settings. To set this up, navigate on over here.
- Available Columns - The fields that you would like to include on your export
- Save columns as new export template - If you'd like to use this customization again, you can save it for later.
(2) Click Save and you'll be taken to the last step to confirm and provide a File Name of your choosing.
(3) You'll receive a notification that your export is being processed with a link to your Export History if needed.
Note: It may take a couple of minutes for your export to be ready.
(4) When it's ready, the Bell Icon at the top of your screen will flash orange to show that you have received a new notification > Click on the Bell Icon.
The Notifications drop-down menu will appear > Your export will available at the top of this list > Click on the notification for your export to download it.
Export Group of Contacts
To export a custom group of contact, you can use the Filters tool which allows you to filter out the contacts that you want to export.
To get started:
(1) Click on Contacts in the sidebar > click on the Filters button on the toolbar > select Edit Filters > select the filter criteria for the contacts you want to export > click Filter.
(2) Once you see the contacts you want to export displayed click on the Export icon
(3) Confirm your export details (see Export All Contacts for additional information)
Note: It may take a couple of minutes for your export to be ready.
(4) When it's ready, the Bell Icon at the top of your screen will flash orange to show that you have received a new notification > Click on the Bell Icon.
The Notifications drop-down menu will appear > Your export will available at the top of this list > Click on the notification for your export to download it.
Export Single Contacts
To export a single contact, you can use the Filters tool which allows you to filter out the contacts that you want to export.
(1) Click on Contacts in the sidebar > click on the Filters button on the toolbar > select Edit Filters > go to contacts filter and select Full Name > simply type the name of the contact you want to export > select Filter.
(2) Once you see the single contact you want to export displayed > click on the Export icon
(3) Confirm your export details (see Export All Contacts for additional information)
Note: It may take a couple of minutes for your export to be ready.
(4) When it's ready, the Bell Icon at the top of your screen will flash orange to show that you have received a new notification > Click on the Bell Icon.

Export Fundraising Transactions
To export Fundraising Transactions and Receipts > click on the Fundraising tool in the sidebar > go to the Transactions tab > click on the Export icon (the little cloud button) > Confirm your export details (see Export All Contacts for additional information)

In your Report, click on the Data tab > Click on the Export icon (the little cloud button) > Confirm your export details (see Export All Contacts for additional information)

Export Receipts
To export a Receipt > click on the Contacts tool in the sidebar > select the contact associated with the receipt you want to export > go to the Fundraising tab > select Transactions > click the receipt you want to export > click Download in the receipt pop-up window.

Export Memberships
You can export Membership Subscriptions by heading to a Membership Plan > clicking the export button in the header row. Please note that you can export one plan at a time.

How do I export a Tag?
Click on Contacts in the sidebar > click on the Filters button on the toolbar > select Edit Filters > go to Contacts filters > select Tags > type the name of the Tag you want to export > select Filter. Now that you have the list of Contacts in this Tag > click on the Export icon > select Confirm in the pop-up window. Check your notifications for the export file (little bell icon at the top of the page).
How do I export a Segment?
Click on Contacts in the sidebar > click on the Filters button on the toolbar > select Edit Filters > go to Contacts filters > select Segments > type the name of the Segment you want to export > select Filter. Now that you have the list of Contacts in this Tag > click on the Export icon > select Confirm in the pop-up window. Check your notifications for the export file (little bell icon at the top of the page).

Why are my personal Export Templates not showing up in the drop-down when I export my data?
When you create an export template in Personal Settings, you will be asked to choose which resource you want the export template to be for. You will then only see the export template option when you are in that specific resource. For example, if I create a new export template for membership subscriptions, this export template will only be available when I export membership subscriptions specifically.
The same concept applies to creating an export template from the export data prompt that comes up when you export your data. For example, if I export contacts and want to save the template, it will only appear as an option for contact exports.
