How will my billing change if I update my plan?
Moving to a plan with higher contact limits
You'll receive a credit for the remainder of the unused plan and will receive a pro-rated charge for the new plan.
Example: You are on a 5,000 contact plan and would like to move to a 10,000 contact plan. The following billing changes will take place when you complete the upgrade:
(10,000 plan total - 5,000 plan total) - (amount unused from the current billing cycle) = the amount you'll be charged.
Moving to a plan with lower contact limits
Let's consider that you are downgrading from the 10,000 contact plan to 5,000. You'll receive a credit for the difference in cost between the two subscription plans, less the amount already used on the 10,000 contact plan.
Example: You are on a 10,000 contact plan and would like to move to a 5,000 contact plan. The following changes will take place when you complete the changes:
(10,000 contact plan total - 5,000 contact plan total) - (the amount used from the current billing cycle) = the amount you'll be charged.
Moving to an Annual Plan from Monthly
When moving to an annual plan from a monthly plan, there will be a pro-rated charge from the date of the plan change.
Example: if you are currently paying for a monthly plan, and you want to switch to an annual plan, you will pay the following: (new annual price - what you have already paid for the monthly plan).
Moving to a Monthly Plan from Annual
When moving to a monthly plan from an annual plan, there will be a prorated charge from the date of the plan change.
Example: if you are currently paying for an annual plan, and you want to switch to monthly, you will pay the (new monthly price - what you have already paid for the annual plan).
The remaining balance will be used as Keela credit for future monthly payments. Future invoices will be the total of (new monthly plan price - your Keela credit from the annual payment).
What happens if I reach my plan's limits?
If you exceed the number of contacts allowed for you Keela plan, you'll be alerted by both email and in-app notification. This notification will prompt you to upgrade your plan, or alternatively decrease the number of contacts/users in your account.
Notifications will be provided every 3 days. If after 10 days no action is taken, your account will be suspended and you'll be required to update your plan to continue to use Keela.
