We are very excited to announce that we have a Premium Feature in the works that is coming soon - Keela Texting! 

However, in order to prepare for Keela Texting, we are releasing the ability for you to be able to capture your donor's consent via Keela Forms (Donation, Subscription or Crypto Forms) or manually in-app. 

Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Twilio (our third party that facilitates texting via Keela) require that you are able to demonstrate proof of explicit consent for any individual number, should you be asked. 

Mobile Phone Field

We have added a new Contact Field within Keela called Mobile Phone where the phone number of the donor will be added. This is also an importable field. 

How Can I Capture Consent?

Keela Forms

We have added the ability to toggle on to capture texting opt-in. 

You can go to the Designer of your form > Contact Details:

You can even edit the text that you want to display on your form to show for your donors. 

Note: This is only available on Donation, Subscription and Crypto Forms. 

Manually In-App

You can manually capture consent for a specific donor by going to their specific contact in Keela and going to the Admin Section. From there, you can edit the Consent and you'll need to add proof of consent as this is very important!

Is Keela Texting Included with my Keela Subscription?

No, Keela Texting is a Premium Add-On which means that it will come with an additional annual cost! 

When can we expect Keela Texting?

The next part of our release coming very soon will be Billing and Verification. This will allow you to submit your application for Keela Texting directly from your Keela account.
